The majors at a glance

"Rate gap" is the first currency's central bank rate minus the second's. "Positioning" is where speculators' current net position sits against the last three years (high = unusually long the non-dollar currency).

A quick word on "trend". We call a pair an uptrend when price is above its 50-day average and the 50-day is above the 200-day, a downtrend when it's the reverse, and mixed otherwise. It's a simple, transparent rule, not a forecast. We tested it on twenty years of data: on its own, following it lost money after costs. See the results →
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail accounts lose money when trading them. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Satdish provides education, not financial advice.
